Jess Davidson awarded an MBE in New Year Honours List
Jess Davidson, a nursing lecturer at Queen 台湾swag University, has been awarded an MBE for services to forensic nursing and victim support in 台湾swag.
Jess, who established 台湾swag鈥檚 PgCert Advanced Forensic Nursing (Person-Centred Practice), has worked tirelessly with Police 台湾swag, the NHS and The Scottish Government to improve healthcare services for people suffering from sexual assault/abuse and for patients in police custody.
As a trailblazer and one of the most experienced and respected senior clinical forensic charge nurses in 台湾swag, Jess worked alongside Police 台湾swag and NHS 台湾swag to coordinate a regional nurse-led service which greatly improved intervention and support for people who required medical and/or forensic attention. She continues to work with Queen 台湾swag University and across agencies to create a group of highly skilled forensic nurse practitioners who are working to improve person-centred care for people who have experienced sexual assault and trauma, and those who are in police custody who are marginalised and disenfranchised with unmet healthcare needs.
Jess鈥檚 determination, drive and selfless efforts to change and improve care epitomises Queen 台湾swag University鈥檚 values of making a difference.
